About Us

Hi!  I’m Rebekah, the inventor of Bundleboo™ Baby Carriers. This revolutionary design of a timeless technique came about to meet my own personal needs after Family photodeciding to stay at home to care for my own two children.

I was a paramedic full-time before the birth of my daughter Katy in December 2005. When I was 20 weeks pregnant, my husband and I learned that our daughter would be born with a cleft lip and/or palate. After a complicated pregnancy and the need for surgery on my newborn, my husband and I decided it was best for me to stay home. I became a full-time nanny, mother and housewife.

Among the many carrier styles that I had used, Katy seemed most content while being carried in a wrap. I fell in love with the versatility of this type of carrier. It surprised me to hear other people’s reactions when I carried Katy in my wrap. This simple technique has been around for thousands of years, yet it seemed that no one was familiar with it. The interest and response that I received was overwhelming.

Looking for a way to supplement our income, I began making my own baby wraps. With my mother’s help, I learned how to sew. After many hours of working together, she and I discussed ways to improve this seemingly already perfect technique. I thought about comments that others made to me: “I would be too afraid that my baby would fall out.”  “It looks so complicated.”  “I’m afraid that I wouldn't do it right.”  I thought, about the changes that I would like in my own “babywearing” experience. Katy was a little bit older now and quite the wiggle worm. Although I was quite confident in my wrapping skills at this point, there was still the need to check and recheck the fabric, especially when I was wearing her on my back. I had to re-adjust and re-center the entire wrap every time I changed from one position to another.I finally took what my mother had suggested and considered my own needs. I simply cut two roomy leg holes in the center of the fabric. I put the wrap on and realized the profound difference that it made. At this point, in July 2006, Bundleboo™ was born.

Over the next several months, friends and family urged me to apply for a patent as the popularity of Bundleboo™ continued to grow. In February 2007, I invited my good friend, Lisa Behneke, to join the Bundleboo™ team. Together, we have strived to perfect our product and make it available to moms around the world!Family photo

We are excited to introduce Bundleboo™ with our patent-pending safety seat.  We hope that more moms will find the confidence to babywear with a wrap, knowing that their baby is safer and more secure than ever!  We hope to hear your requests and feedback soon!

Sincerely,
Rebekah Gonzalez
